BMW X6 2010 FULL CORRECTION + GTECHNIQ
So we had something rather exciting to work on recently, this lovely McLaren MP4-12C, in for our Gtechniq exterior/ interior correction package. As you’ll see this car was almost a different colour when we first started, due to a few years of those ‘Hand Car Washes’. We started with a high concentration snow foam as the car was dirty, then on to a full wash paying special attention to the cars’ intricacies and badges. On to decontamination with the clay bar, mask the car up and start the correction with Rupes Bigfoot. A full wipe down with Gtechniq Panel Wipe, apply CSL followed by EXO and finish up with the interior. CREDIT: Professional shots taken by Matthew Lawrence Photography
Snow foam to remove any light surface contamination.
Then a full bodywork wash by hand before moving on to the clay bar to remove any stuck on contaminates.
Not to forget a thorough clean round all badges with soft bristle brushes.
All four wheels given a full decontamination and wash down by hand before a final rinse down of all external areas.
After fully drying the paintwork, it was time to fully mask all areas including glass and trims, before tackling with this awesome combo.
As you can see cutting through the swirls nicely, A few RDS remain but this is to be expected.
Although the overall condition of this paint was great, once polished the difference was becoming very noticeable.
After a full panel wipedown C1 was used to seal all external areas, along with C5 on all wheels
After polishing it was on to refinement, before giving a full panel wipe ready to apply Gtechniq CSL & EXO.
Gtechniq G1 applied to ALL glass areas including the panoramic sunroof, Also C4 applied to all trim areas.
Onto the interior, Nothing to bad to sort however years of grime build up on the cream leather looked a little grimy.
We started by giving all carpeted areas and matts a thorough hoover.
All leather then fully cleaned using a nice fresh colourlock brush and plenty of elbow grease.
Gtechniq C6 & L1 then applied to give a lasting finish.
Gtechniq I1 applied to all carpeted areas including boot and all matts.
After around 50 hours we were left with the below and what a transformation!
