BMW X5 black Correction & CSL
This stunning X5 was recently completed for a new client for us, he had spotted our work on a forum and couldn't wait to get booked in for the DD treatment. The car is used mainly for mile munching however had it's fair share of bush branch rash down one side that we simply had to sort. It was decided we were going to correct this before applying a good layer of GTechniq CSL followed by C2V3 for some extra gloss. The wheels were coated in Gtechniq C5 and all glass areas coated in G1. The interior was tickled as usual and given a full coating of I1, L1 and C6 leaving a squeaky clean and protected finish ready for many more miles.
Snow foam to remove any light surface contamination.
Then a full bodywork wash by hand before moving on to the clay bar to remove any bonded contaminates.
Not to forget a thorough clean round all badges with soft bristle brushes.
All four wheels given a full decontamination and wash down by hand before a final rinse down of all external areas.
It was then on to the two stage polishing process using the trusty Rupes and a selection of pads.
Plenty of progress being made!
Bushes had pretty much scratched one whole side of this car, however most disappeared with ease.
After a full panel wipedown C1 was used to seal all external areas, along with C5 on all wheels
Piano black pillars given a pass as always!
After removing all polishing dust it was time for a wipe down of panel wipe before Gtechniq application.
After finishing off any fiddly bits it was time for a generous coating of G1 on ALL glass surfaces.
Gtechniq C5 used on all wheels, with T2 to finish.
After around 30 hours we were left with the below and what a transformation!
